Does any of this sound familiar?

  • My horse won’t pick up the right lead
  • My horse is bracy on the left side
  • My horse had an injury and all our time is spent doing boring therapy!
  • I know my horse really needs to do these stretches, but I just don’t have time to do them AND get any training done.

There are many stretches and therapies out there that can be beneficial for your horse and help with all of these issues.  But if you’re not having fun doing it and your horse isn’t having fun doing it, what is the likelihood that you will do them consistently enough to make a difference?

One of the biggest obstacles I have encountered as an equine massage therapist is getting my clients to do the follow up exercises that their horses need in order to keep them on the right track between massage sessions. Let’s face it, most of us have a limited amount of time to spend with our horses, and we’d much rather be playing and having fun with them than doing boring stretches and warm up exercises.

But what if you could do both

My new eBook “A Prescription For Parelli – Incorporating Therapy With Playtime For Your Horse” explains how you can!

PLUS you’ll get special access to 7 Bonus Videos featuring 4* Parelli Natural Horsemanship Senior Instructor Christi Rains walking you through step-by-step doing these exercises with your horse!

“Through her equine massages, Lisa has always gotten amazing results with horses, but now has found a way to help us help our horses. This guide has been long overdue – gives playing with your horse a purpose, with terrific results. Love that it is in e-form.”

Taking specific games and exercises from the Parelli Natural Horsemanship program, I show you how to zero in on the issues that are holding your horse back, improve performance and your horse’s attitude by offering therapies based on the activities that you are already doing with your horse.

We’ll focus on:

  • improving spinal mobility
  • improving pelvic placement
  • increasing flexibility and range of motion
  • improving collection
  • building and strengthening the topline

Common problems that these exercises will help improve:

  • picking up one canter lead over another
  • problems with circling or bending in a particular direction
  • horses that can do lateral flexion better on one side than the other
  • braciness under saddle
  • lateral movements such as sideways, leg yields and half passes
  • stifle and hock issues
  • scapula rotated forward
  • short-striding

If you’ve encountered any of these problems with your horse and addressing it with training aides and drilling hasn’t helped, chances are your horse has an imbalance.  Identifying the source of the imbalance and applying targeted exercises can help get you back on the road to meet your goals with your horse, whether in the performance arena or on the trail.

    • Will do Pat. There process takes a lot longer than the other outlets unfortunately! There is also a PDF version available for sale on this page that you can get directly from me. Enjoy the lovely riding weather and hope to see you soon!

    • It is not available in paperback as it has video components to it and is best viewed as a digital product. You can get the pdf version though which you of course can print from your computer.

  1. Hi

We recently got a Kobo ereader and i can't seem to find you book on here and i noticed you have for kindle tunes or nook … would there be any way i could get it for a kobo ? Thanks

    Allesha

    • Hi Allesha,

I’m afraid I’m not familiar with a Kobo ereader.  It is only available in the formats mentioned.  If the Kobo has a pdf reader on it, you can purchase the pdf version off my website and access it that way.  Thanks for your interest!

      Blessings,

      Lisa

  2. I would love to read/own the book, but would like a REAL book – not something I have to read on a computer or ipad. Will it be coming out ever as a real book?

    • Hi Shanda,

It’s a PDF file with links to video tutorials on how to teach your horse the exercises. So while you could print the PDF, you would still need to go online to view the videos. Not a good print version candidate.

      Blessings,

      Lisa
